The JCFMT was established in 2005 to review, maintain and recommend changes to structured training programmes for Family Medicine.  It will also play a key role in maintaining the future developments of the Family Physician Register and recommending relevant qualifications that would be required for entry to the Register.

Medical studentsThe Master of Medicine (Family Medicine) was started in 1992 for doctors working under the public healthcare sector, with the objective of providing them with a broad range of multidisciplinary core knowledge and practical skills. Over the years, the MMed (FM) has evolved to enrich doctors with different sets of qualifications and skills for managing a variety of patients within the community.
